You must be an ISK member to register for this event. It's easy to become a member: just click the "Become a Member" link in the left menu. A $15 annual fee gives you access to a year's worth of great club trips, classes, on-water demos, winter programming and more.
No refunds will be given for this event. Registrants who are unable to attend have the option of finding another participant to take their place.
If class size minimum is not met by June 15, 2021 and class is cancelled, a full refund will be made.
To participate, you'll need a sea kayak with fore and aft bulkheads or flotation at both ends, a spray skirt, a wet suit, a PFD, a bilge pump, paddle float, lunch and a day's worth of drinking water. Suggested items are nose plugs and a hot beverage or soup. Please bring warm clothes we will be wet a good portion of the day!

Join Michelle and Jeff Forseth, ISK members and ACA certified instructors, for a one-day Introduction to Coastal Kayaking course. You must be an ISK member to register for this class.
The class covers basic strokes and boat control, landing and launching, equipment & gear, rescues, safety, navigation & coastal dynamics of wind and waves. Expect a safe and fun intro to the sport of coastal kayaking. The class is limited to 8 participants.
